I’ve changed my Instagram to thebookishunderdog if you’d like to follow me!
February has been a slow month compared to January. I whooshed through lots of books in Jan but haven’t got excited about anything yet this month.
At the beginning of Feb I planned to read:
- Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
- Drown by Esther Dalseno
- The Crucible by Arthur Miller
- The Lady of Misrule by Susannah Dunn
- The Rats by James Herbert
- The Diary of Anne Frank by Anne Frank
So far, I’ve finished Red Queen and The Lady of Misrule. I’ve also been dipping in and out of Drown – nothing’s pushing me to finish it – and I’m also currently reading The Diary of Anne Frank.
I read excerpts from Anne Frank’s diary at school but we never read the whole thing. I’ve always been mildly embarrassed about not reading it in its entirety so decided to remedy that this year.
Also re-reading: Rick Riordan’s Heroes of Olympus series. The other day, I realised I still haven’t read the last book! So I bought The Blood of Olympus and am rereading the first four before I get around to it, as I can’t remember much that happened. So far, I’ve read The Lost Hero and have started The Son of Neptune.
I enjoyed The Lost Hero a lot more on the second read. I think I was annoyed the first time because a certain major character wasn’t in it!
After my book haul at the weekend, my TBR list has been added to – I’m really excited to read Faceless by Alissa Sheinmel soon and also The Ballroom by Anna Hope.
What are you reading in February?
